The history of hospitality of the Garin family has its roots in the 1950s, when Alessandra Garin’s grandparents took over the Locanda Belvedere in Val Ferret and after La Brenva in Entr\u00e8ves.
\nLeo Garin, Alessandra’s father, worked in the family business and soon became one of the icons of tourism in Aosta Valley.<\/p>\n

In the 1960s he founded, in what was his father’s home, “La Maison de Filippo” restaurant, now no longer managed by Leo’s family, which will become one of the most famous restaurants in the area.
\nAwarded with Michelin star, it became destination for all the great protagonists of tourism in Courmayeur such as International political leaders and movie stars.<\/p>\n

1985 Leo and Patrizia Garin bought the Cadran Solaire. The “vecchio torchio” – as the place was called at the time. It was a disco bar and Leo and Patrizia decided to renovate and redecorate it.<\/p>\n

In 1996, thanks to his great passion as a collector of antique furniture, works of art, furnishings and mountain objects, Leo Garin created the Auberge de la Maison, right in front of the Maison de Filippo, in the heart of Entr\u00e8ves. Leo’s passion for mountain collecting and the innate taste for furnishings of Patrizia, Alessandra’s mother, make the Auberge a real hospitality house, different from all the Mont Blanc Mountain hotels.<\/p>\n

In 2004, after completing her studies at the \u00c9cole h\u00f4teli\u00e8re in Lausanne, Alessandra Garin, daughter of Leo and Patrizia, took over the Auberge. Since then, every season, Alessandra has been in charge of managing the hotel, carrying out renovations and enriching it with new ideas and new spaces for her guests.<\/p>\n

In 2021, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Auberge de La Maison, Alessandra Garin and her husband Filippo Valdata resume management of the Cadran Solaire opened by Leo in 1985 by renovating It.
\nThe tradition of hospitality of the Garin family is thus reunited with the center of Courmayeur.<\/p>\n
